Bissell ProHeat vs Big Green what’s the difference?

* Tank Design
The Big Green has dual tanks, one tank for clean water and one tank for dirty water, whereas the Proheat uses Tank-in-Tank design. There is a bladder inside the tank, the bladder is for storing clean water. And dirty water will be collected around the outside of the bladder. So, clean and dirty water are kept separate.

* Tank Capacity
The Big Green 86T3 has a larger tank than the Proheat.
The tank capacity are 1.75 gallons versus 0.75 gallons.

* Edge Brush
The ProHeat has edge brushes to help clean edges while the Big Green has no edge brushes.

* Built-in Heater
The Proheat has built-in heater that can heat hot tap water you put in up to 25 degrees hotter whereas the Big Green has no heater.

* Flow Indicator
The Big Green has a Flow Indicator that monitors the levels of water and detergent, lets you know when to add more water and detergent.
While the Proheat does not have the flow gauge.

* Bare Floor Tool Compatibility
The Proheat can use hard floor attachment and hard floor solutions to clean hard floors such as linoleum, vinyl, and tile floors. While the Big Green does not support hard floor attachment.

* Ready Tool Dial
The Proheat has a Ready Tools feature that allows you to choose between floor cleaning and cleaning with attachments by turning the dial.
While the Big Green does not have such ready tool dial.

The Big Green has a cleaning path width of 10.5″ versus 11″ on the Proheat.

* Handle
The handle on the Big Green is adjustable, you can select the height best suited to you. And it is also foldable for storage, while the handle on the Proheat is NOT adjustable nor foldable.

* Hose Length
The hose length of the Big Green is 9 foot versus 7 foot on the Proheat.

* Warranty
The Big Green carries a 5 year limited warranty while the Proheat carries a 1 year limited warranty.

* Weight
The Big Green is about 15 pounds heavier than the Proheat.

* Price
The Big Green is much more expensive than the Proheat.

* Included Tools
The Big Green 86t3 comes with a 6″ Stair Tool while the Proheat includes a 3″ Stain Tool.
