Here are some differences between Shark Steam Pocket Mop S3501 and Shark Professional Steam Pocket Mop S3601.
This is the main difference between them.
The S3601 features Shark Intelligent Steam Control which offers 3 steam settings – Dust, Mop, and Scrub.
Each setting meets different cleaning needs and different floor surfaces.
DUST setting is for light cleaning and dusting loosen and lift light dirt, best dry time, ideal for sanitizing laminate, sealed hardwood, bamboo, and marble.
MOP setting is for everyday normal steam cleaning, removing spots and smaller messes, ideal for sanitizing sealed hardwood, marble, tile, and stone.
SCRUB setting is for tough cleaning such as removing stuck on stains, cleaning heavy traffic areas and grime. It is ideal for tile, stone, linoleum, and hardwood. This setting will leave floors damp. With the Carpet Glider (NOT included) attached, it can also be used to freshen area rug and carpet.
Whereas the S3501 has no variable steam settings. To customize the amount of steam you want, simply pump the handle in a downward motion. This pumping action will release steam. The faster you push the mop back and forth the more steam comes out.
The S3501 is 1,200 watts versus 1,550 watts on the S3601.
The S3601 has a bit larger water tank.
The S3501 has a capacity of 450 ml (15 oz.) versus 500ml (16.9 oz.) on the S3601.
The S3501 has a telescopic handle that allows you to adjust the height of the mop whereas the handle on the S3601 does not extend.
The cord on the S3601 is a bit longer.
The S3601 has a 22 feet cord versus 20 feet on the S3501.
The S3501 is purple whereas the S3601 is white.
