Shark NV450 vs NV500 (501,502,503) what is the difference?

Shark NV500 vs NV450

The both have the lift away pod. So what is the difference between Shark Rotator Professional NV450 and Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away NV500 (501,502,503)?

The NV450 is lighter.
Shark NV450 full upright unit weighs 12.9 lbs, lift away pod weighs 7.1 lbs.
NV500 serials full upright unit weighs 15.5 lbs, lift away pod weighs 8.4 lbs.

The NV500 serials support the optional caddy accessory upgrade. Its lift away pod can be placed onto the canister caddy, thus it become a canister vacuum from an upright.
However, we do not find any info on the Shark website that says the NV450 supports the caddy kit.
If you own the NV450, would you please confirm this by commenting below?

We have a dog and the carpet always smells of dog — dog is totally house broken but it’s just that she likes to sleep on the rug. Also, there are twin babies just about ready to crawl. Which Shark or other vacuum cleaner would be best for us?

From what I understand after doing much research the difference is big between the nv400 and nv500 series so I’d definitely choose the anyone of nv500 series. I still have yet to find info. on an nv503 so I don’t know why it’s found in a search engine; I don’t believe such a model exists. Hope this helps and good luck if you haven’t already purchased. I’m still researching and waiting to buy until I have every detail I can get myself.

Please tell me where I can purchase the caddy for the Shark NV500W vacuum cleaner?
I am interested in purchasing the vacuum but do want it without the caddy.

I want to get a Shark but am overwhelmed by the number of models available. I have hardwood floors and carpets in my home, but I don’t have pets.

Any suggestions? I’m not too worried about the price – I just want to get a good vacuum.

If you are in the market for a Shark vacuum, you could consider the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright NV356E or the Shark Rotator Lift-Away Professional Upright Vacuum NV502.
However, we do suggest you do your research before purchasing.
