Based on my research (reading reviews and contacting customer service), the main difference between the Cleanslate/Pet, Pro and Plus is the Cleanslate/Pet has a 15-foot power cord versus 18-foot on the Pro and Plus. The Pro and Plus is the same except for the attachments they include.

• The 7-inch WidePath Tool – a 2-in-1 Antimicrobial tool which has Bristle Brush and Rubber Nub, the “Bristle Insert: Best for scrubbing carpets, rugs, sofas, and upholstery. Rubber Nub Insert: Best for high pile carpets and cleaning pet mess.” This tool is for cleaning large areas.
• The TightSpot Tool is for cleaning crevices and hard to reach areas.
• The Hose Rinse Tool is for cleaning and removing odor causing bacteria left in the hose after use.

They have On/Off power control on the top of the body, and have trigger type spray control on the tools.

Do they have separate tanks for clean and dirty water?
Yes, all have dual tanks.

Can you use them with only water without adding formula?
For stains, it is recommended to use formula with water, you get better results. But if you like to use only water, yes, you can.
