Hoover UH72625 vs UH72630 what’s the difference?

  • The difference between Hoover UH72625 and UH72630 is the Cord Length.
    The UH72630 has a 40-foot power cord versus 30-foot on the UH72625.
  • About the Air Valve Dial.
Both the UH72625 and UH72630 used to have an Air Valve Dial on the side which allows you to switch suction between Floor and Hose. Turn dial to HOSE position for cleaning with hose and/or tools, turn dial to FLOOR position for general floor cleaning through nozzle.
But the new versions of UH72625 and UH72630 no longer have the air valve dial. You will have to go to the bottom of the vacuum to detach the hose if you want to use attachments.
Don’t be fooled by the images on the product box and the manual, though they show the air valve dial, the actual vacuum did not have that function. There are users that bought the UH72625 and UH72630 complained this false advertisement. Seems the manufacturer have not updated the package yet.

I just recently purchased the HOOVER UH72630 for the valve and it came in the mail yesterday. Opened it this morning and guess what? No valve. Checked the model number in the vacuum and it’s a UH72630, but no valve. Manual shows the other version. Pretty disappointed.

That is because the person that wrote the article had it backward. It would be nice if they knew what they were talking about before posting. The 2630 DOES NOT have the valve and 2625 has the valve and is the older model which has been discontinued due to clogging issues. So you got the good model as did I. Best of luck! It seems to be great.

I have already replied to this but because it made the author look foolish for giving incorrect information it was not posted. The unit you purchased UH72630 is the newer and better model The author had the specs reversed. Your unit is NOT supposed to have the valve as they did away with it due to clogging issues. The 2625 is only available on Amazon now because Hoover has discontinued it. Be happy ! We got the good version!
