Several days ago, one of our website visitors from New Zealand sent us an email to ask what was the difference between the red and purple version of Dyson DC39, and why our website described DC39 carried
a 5 year warranty while a NZ retailer (harvey norman) only offered a 2 year warranty?
Sorry that we didn’t do the research before.
However, if you visit the Dyson NZ website http://www.dyson.co.nz, you can find that the red DC39 is called DC39 Animal Exclusive while the purple one named DC39 Animal.
What we know is that Dyson sometimes has specific models for different country markets (and they also have different prices, different warranty policies ).
Take DC39 canister vacuum cleaner for example,
at US Dyson official site, you will not find the red DC39;
( You can find the DC39 models on Dyson US offical site here: http://content.dyson.com/support/help.asp?model=SUP-DC39&article=1374 )
but at NZ, they have the red DC39, which is named DC39 Animal Exclusive.
( You can find DC39 models on Dyson NZ offical site here: http://www.dyson.co.nz/support/help.asp?model=SUP-DC39&article=527 )
If you are not sure what are the differences between the versions, or which version fits your cleaning jobs before purchasing, I suggest you contact Dyson to get detail info, you can find the contact info here: http://www.dyson.co.nz/support/ .
