The BDH2000L has a suction power of 24 air watts versus 35 air watts on the BDH2000PL.

Nozzle Design:
The nozzle on the BDH2000L allows you to rotate it to the left or right whereas the BDH2000PL has a pivoting nozzle that can be pivoted up and down.
And the BDH2000PL nozzle is wider.

Dust Cup Design:
The BDH2000PL has the opening at the side whereas the BDH2000L has the opening on top and bottom.

As you can see from the product images, the BDH2000PL and BDH2000FL look very different.
The BDH2000PL vacuums with the pivoting nozzle whereas the BDH2000FL vacuums with the 4 feet flexible hose and included tool.
And the BDH2000PL comes with no hose.

While emptying the dust cup of the BDH2000FL, you have to open the transparent door and tilt the vacuum to empty dirt, whereas the dirt bowl on the BDH2000PL is removable and washable.

Dust Cup Capacity
The BDH2000PL can holds 15 oz. whereas the BDH2000FL can holds 17 oz.

Suction Power

Type of Battery:
The major difference between CHV1410 and CHV1410L is the type of battery they come with. CHV1410 comes with the nickel-cadmium battery while the CHV1410L uses the Lithium-ion battery. The Nickel-Cadmium battery has two big drawbacks. First, it has the “memory effect” problem (more info en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_effect); second, it is toxic, not environment friendly. The lithium-ion battery does not have these problems, and it charges faster than the ni-cd battery. But the lithium-ion battery cost more.

Price:
Since the cost of lithium-ion battery is more than the ni-cd battery, the CHV1410L is more expensive. The MSRP of the CHV1410L is $80, while it is only $40 for the CHV1410.
