Both of these two robotic cleaners are designed to clean hard floors only, they do not have the ability of cleaning things like carpets or rugs.
The Mint Plus includes dual modes: sweep mode and mop mode, you can use it to dry sweep or mop the floors, whereas the Scooba 230 feature a 3 stage cleaning process: wash, scrub and dry your floors.

* Customer Rating
Mint Plus 5200 receives higher customer satisfaction and rating than the Scooba 230.

* Area Coverage:
The Mint Plus covers a larger area than the Scooba 230.
The Scooba 230 can cover an area of up to 150 square ft on a full charge, whereas The Mint Plus is able to cover up to 350 square ft mopping and 1,000 square ft sweeping. In fact, it can sweep up to 2,000 square ft if you use an extra navigation cube.

The only difference between 380 and 385 is the accessories they include.
The 380 inludes a storage mat, 2 Virtual Walls, and a charging base.
The Scooba 385 has no storage mat, no charging base, only one virtual wall.

Otherwise, they are identical.

* Cleaning System: The 230 doesn’t includes the initial vacuuming stage which the Scooba 380 includes.
The 380 features a 4 stage cleaning system: preps, washes, scrubs and squeegees vacuum up dirty water; wherease the Scooba 230 features a 3 stage cleaning system: wash, scrub, then squeegee lift dirty water from floors.

* Internal Design:
The 380 uses 2 tanks to hold clean and dirty water, whereas the Scooba 230 uses a pair of bladders.

* Area Coverage: The 380 covers a larger area, it is ideal for homes with larger areas whereas the 230 is for smaller rooms.

The Scooba 5800 is an early model of the Scooba floor washing robot, introduced on 2006, whereas the Scooba 390 is launched on 2012, it is the lastest Scooba. They are safe to use on sealed hardwood, linoleum, marble, and tile floors. But not recommended for use on unfinished, unsealed hard floor surfaces, or laminate flooring.

* Area Coverage
The Scooba 5800 can cover an area of up to 250 square ft (1-2 rooms) on a full charge, whereas the Scooba 390 can clean up to 850 square ft (1-4 rooms) per battery charge, 1 full tank washes up to 425 square feet before it requires refilling.

* Efficiency
The Scooba 390 moves faster than the 5800.

* Noise Level
The Scooba 5800 is louder.

* Color
The 5800 is blue while the 390 is iron grey, and the parts of the Scooba 390 that require cleaning or maintaining are now in grey and orange color.
