iRobot Scooba vs Mint Plus which is better to buy?

We will compare Scooba and Mint in this post, the models we will mainly discuss are the Mint Plus 5200 and Scooba 390.

The two robots both can only be used to clean hard surface floors, they are not able to clean carpets, rugs, mats, etc.
Mint just traps mess onto its pad, whereas the Scoomba preps, washes, scrubs and dries your floors.

* Noise Level
Mint is much quieter than the Scooba.
The Mint is pretty quiet, you can run it when you are watching TV. On the other hand, the Scooba is loud when it is working. You probably would not like to run it while you are at home.

* Leaving water on floors?
Users say that the Scooba leaves a trail of water on the floors while the Mint doesn’t have this problem.
However, it seems the Mint does not clean the floors as well as the Scooba does.

* Maintenance
The Mint requires less maintenance and cleaning. The Mint does not include any brush, filter, or dirty tank to be cleaned. In contrast, you have to clean Scooba’s brush, filter, and the dirty tank after every use.

* Shape and Size:
The base of Scooba is round, while the Mint looks like square shape, but a bit irregular.

* Navigation Tool

The Mint Plus 5200 is much cheaper than the Scooba 390.

The 230 only includes a 3 stage cleaning system, you have to sweep the floor before using it. Whereas the 390 has 4 stage cleaning, so no sweeping required.

Seems they are the same robot except for the color and the accessories they include.

* Color:
From the above pictures, you can see that the 650 is black, while the 660 is olive.

* Accessories:
The Roomba 660 comes with more additional accessories.
The 650 only comes with 1 extra AeroVac filter (the product description on some online stores state the 650 also comes with brush cleaning tool, but some do not say it has the brush cleaning tool), whereas the Roomba 660 comes with 4 extra AeroVac filters, 1 extra bristle brush, 1 extra beater brush, 2 additional side brushes, and brush cleaning tool.

Otherwise, they are the same.

They both come with Virtual Wall, but does not includes the Lighthouse;
