If you are deciding between the Proscenic 850t and M7 Pro, here are some differences between them that you may want to know before buying.
- Navigation & Mapping
The Proscenic 850t uses Gyroscope navigation, it can only display a real-time map that shows you the area it has cleaned.
Whereas the M7 Pro uses Lidar navigation, it can map your house, and you can use the map to set up no-go zones or to-go areas. Further more, it can save multiple maps which means it can save a map for each of your floors if you have multiple floors. - Magnetic Strip vs Virtual Barrier
The 850T comes with magnetic strip that allows you to stop it from entering forbidden areas. Whereas the Proscenic M7 Pro support virtual barrier, you can use the ProscenicHome App to circle those no-go zone, so there is no need to use the magnetic strip anymore.
The virtual barrier is also useful when you want the robots to do mopping jobs. Because the robots cannot differentiate between hard floor and carpet. Setting up virtual boundary in the App is much more convenient than using the magnetic tape. - Auto Empty
The M7 Pro supports Proscenic’s Intelligent Dust Collector, the collector can automatically remove dust from the vacuum robot’s dust bin. So you do not need to empty the bin frequently. Please note that the M7 Pro package does not include the Intelligent Dust Collector, the collector is sold separately.
While the 850t does not have this self empty feature. - iRoom Cleaning System
The M7 Pro will divide your house into multiple regions for cleaning, you can choose a specific room or area to clean, or select multiple rooms to clean. You can also schedule different cleaning times for different rooms. Whereas the 850t does not have these features. - Battery
The 850t is powered by 2600mAh lithium ion battery which runs up to 120 minutes whereas the M7 Pro has a 5200mAh battery which runs up to 270 minutes. - Resume Cleaning
Both of them can automatically go back to the charging base to recharge when battery is low. However, the M7 Pro remember where it left off and complete its task whereas the 850t does not. - Dust Bin and Water Tank
The 850t comes with a 500ml dust bin and a 2-in-1 dust and water tank which holds 300ml dust plus 300ml water.
While the M7 Pro comes with a separate dust bin which holds 600ml dust and a small water tank which has capacity of 110ml.
And the water tank of 850t is electronically controlled which means the water speed is adjustable whereas the water tank of M7 Pro is not electronically controlled, the water seepage speed is not adjustable. - Size
The 850t is more compact than the M7 Pro.
The dimensions of 850t are 325x325x73mm versus 350x350x98mm on the M7 Pro. - Max Suction
The Max suction power of 850t is 3000Pa while the M7 Pro generates suction power up to 2700Pa.
