According to Oreck support, the difference between Magnesium LW100 and LW100LR is the warranty and annual tuneup. The LW100 carries a 7 year warranty versus 5 year on the LW100LR, and the LW100 has 3 yearly tuneups versus no tuneups on the LW100LR
Otherwise, they are exactly the same, have no mechanical difference.
