The difference between Dyson DC35 and DC35 Animal is the color and the tools they come with.
The DC35 multi floor is blue while the DC35 Animal is purple; and the DC35 Animal comes with a mini motorized brush bar that is designed for picking up dust and pet hair from upholstery and tight areas, while the DC35 Multi Floor version doesn’t include this little tool. Otherwise, they seem to be the same thing.

Difference between Dyson DC44 and DC35:

Performance:
According to users’ experience, DC44 is more powerful than the DC35.

Battery:
In the product description, you can find that these two handheld dyson vacuum cleaners use different types of batteries. The DC44 uses nickel manganese cobalt battery while DC35 uses Lithium-ion battery.
