Buy iRobot or Mint? You will never have this question again. Since The Evolution Robotics Mint floor cleaner now is iRobot Mint floor cleaner.

The original Mint includes 2 models: the Mint 4200 and the Mint 4205; the Mint Plus also includes 2 models: the Mint 5200 and the Mint 5200C.
The info below will show you what’s the difference between the Mint 4200, Mint 4205, Mint Plus 5200, and Mint Plus 5200c.

Mint 4200 VS. Mint 4205
The difference between these two Mint models is:
The Mint 4205 comes with the Pro-Clean System, whereas the Mint 4200 doesn’t.
What is the Pro-Clean System? There is a reservoir cleaning pad continually dispenses fluid, this makes the mopping cloth stay damp throughout the mopping cycle, allows it to mop a larger space, and mop longer. Without this reservoir, the mopping cloth probably will dry out before completing the cleaning cycle in the mopping mode, this is one of the cons of the Mint 4200.

Mint Plus 5200 VS. Mint Plus 5200C Mint Floor Cleaner
The only difference between them is that the 5200C comes with the Mint Plus Turbo Charge Cradle, this Cradle can speed up the charging a lot quickly, like only 2 hours for a full charge. Without this cradle, it will take 4 hours to recharge. So, it is a helpful kit for those who don’t want to wait too long for the unit to recharge. However, its price tag is a bit high, it sells at $69.99 on Mint official site.
The Mint 5200 can be upgraded to 5200C model since it can use the charging cradle too.
In other words, the Mint Plus 5200C = Mint Plus 5200 + Mint Plus Turbo Charge Cradle.

As usual, the new model Neato XV-21 is more expensive.
At Neato official site, Neato XV-21 is priced at $429.99, whereas Neato XV-11 is priced at $399.99 when we write this post.

Brush and Filter:
The XV-21 comes with 2 brushes and 1 filter; whereas XV-11 has 1 brush and 2 filters.
And the beater brushes and filters are different.
The XV-11 comes with the standard filter whereas the XV-21 comes with pet & allergy filter, users say that the new filter outputs air cleaner.

The Mint 5200 is a new version of the Mint 4200, it does everything that Mint 4200 does, and has some features that Mint 4200 doesn’t come with.

Here are some major difference between Mint 4200 and Mint 5200:

Battery Life:
The Mint Plus 5200 has better battery life than the 4200, thus the 5200 can cover more areas than the 4200.
Sweep Run Time: The Mint 5200 sweeps up to 4 hours on a single charge while it’s 3 hours for the 4200.
Mop Run Time: The Mint 5200 mops up to 2.5 hours on a single charge while it’s 2 hours for the 4200.

Charging Time:
The Mint 5200 charges faster.
Based on users’ experience, the Mint 4200 can take 6-10 hours to fully charge, whereas the 5200 takes 4 hours, and the 5200 can charge faster with the Turbo Charge Cradle which is sold separately. But the 4200 cannot use the Turbo Charge Cradle.

Unlike the Mint 4200, the 5200 model can be paused, and resumes.
You can pause it to change the cleaning cloth while it is cleaning. When resume, it has the ability to continue cleaning areas that are not yet cleaned.

Mint 4200 is in white and black while Mint 5200 is fully black.
