At this moment, the only place you can find the NV370 model is on Amazon. Even at Shark official website, you cannot find any info about it.
Amazon call the NV370 The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro Special Edition. A special edition of the Navigator Lift-Away Pro. What makes it special is the Gentle Deep Clean Technology with Superior Carpet Cleaning, and it is approved by the CRI (The Carpet and Rug Institute http://www.carpet-rug.org/About-CRI.aspx).
According to the info listed on Amazon, the only difference between NV370 and NV356E is the Brush Roll they come with. The NV370 features Premium Brush Roll whereas the NV356E uses Standard Brush Roll.
Then what’s the difference between the Standard Brush Roll and the Premium Brush Roll? The Shark customer service did not answer clearly on this. They just said that they are associated with different models. And they told me that the only difference between the NV356E and the NV370 is where they sold. They did not mention anything about the Gentle Deep Clean Technology or the Brush Roll.
Shark definately have to improve customer satisfaction. I find that many people always get confused by the similar product versions. At least, they should make the products info more clearly to save customers time on choosing a right model.
If you know other difference between these 2 Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro versions, please share it below.
I just got off an online chat with one of their reps and here is the exchange.. what’s odd is Amazon is selling both vacuums on the same page and claiming one is premium for a $20 higher price..
Julie: Hi, my name is Julie. How may I help you?
Scott B: Hello, I was wondering if you can tell me the difference between the lift away pro models NV370 vs NV356E.. the 370 is listed on Amazon as having a premium brush roll, and ‘gentle deep clean technology’ vs. the standard roll.. the price is $20 difference.. but they don’t explain what this is…
Julie: I can certainly check on that for you.
Julie: Same unit just sold in different stores. May also be different colors.
Scott B: there’s no difference? it’s on amazon on the same page for $179 and $199 depending on which one you choose
Julie: Same units.
Scott B: and Shark is the seller
Julie: No we are are not, Amazon is selling it. We have our own offers.
Scott B: ok thank you
Julie: You’re welcome. If there are no further questions, thank you for choosing Shark -More 5-star online reviews than any other vacuum brand. Have a great week! Please be aware that following our chat session today, you will be presented with the opportunity to participate in a very short customer satisfaction survey. We would appreciate your feedback regarding our service.
Julie has disconnected.
Hi Scott, thank you for your info.
I find that some Shark reps usually give similar answer like “Same unit just sold in different stores” when you ask them about the difference between 2 similar models.
What is the difference between the NV356E “standard” brush roll and the NV370 “premium”? The premium comes with a Dust-Away attachment, which has a vacuum opening (no brush) in front of a microfiber pad. Not sure if that is a marginal difference, but if the price is the same, I’d default to premium model, just to be safe.
We just purchased the Shark NV370 at Bed Bath & Beyond, not Amazon. On sale $159.99. Date purchased Dec. 6, 2014.
I was just at Bed Bath & Beyond, the sticker on their NV370 said NV365e…hmmmm?????
I just purchased the same item at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $159.99, and today’s date is: February 13, 2019.
This happens all of the time. Retailers pressure manufacturers into providing them an “exclusive” model. Manufacturers take a model, add one little meaningless feature to it (just enough to keep it legal) and put a different model number on it. Both sides know that what ever little change is made means nothing to the consumer; it adds no value. And the differences between these models are seldom publicized. All of this prevents price matching and each retailer is able to jack their price up without fear of competition. Retails won’t tell you the difference because they could lose their price advantage, manufacturers won’t freely tell you because they don’t want to upset the retailers (where they make their money). If two products with different model numbers from the same manufacturer look identical and each is available at only one or a select few retailers, they are most likely the same unit.
Hi DJ, I agree.
Thank you for visiting and have a good day.
What is the difference between shark NV 360 and NV 370, is one better than the other?
Hi Dorie, you can discuss here https://vacuumcleanerreviewszone.com/shark-nv360-vs-nv370-whats-the-difference-823.html
I saw one difference between the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Vacuum NV370 and NV356E on Amazon: 370 has suction control. I imagine that you can decrease the suction for cleaning area rugs so as it to damage them. It also seems that the premium brush is gentler on area rugs. This interests me as I am considering replacements large areas of carpet in my home with hard floor with area rugs.
Hi Laura C., thanks for leaving a comment.
Does the filter go only on the attachment of hard floors and do both go on? I think it is put together properly so should I fear turning it on?
