Both of these 2 vacuum cleaners feature the Lift Away Pod, but the Shark NV502 also comes with a Canister Caddy that allows you to put the Lift Away Pod on it, this makes the vacuum as convenient as a canister vacuum, because you can roll the unit along with you while cleaning around your house, and the caddy even has places to hold tools.
The NV356E does not have this canister caddy.
