I think many people are confused about them as I was. In fact, these Bissell carpet cleaners are very similar.

Bissell BG10 and 10N2 seem to be the same thing. So, below we will only compare the BG10 and 86T3.

According to our research online, there are only some small difference between Bissell Big Green Commercial and Professional, such as the build quality, cord, attachment, warranty, and price.

Build Quality:
According to Bissell Commercial customer service, the Commercial BG10 uses thicker and more durable plastic which is designed to withstand tougher commercial cleaning requirements, and features tougher brushes and belt. Cord:
The cord on BG10 is consist of 2 parts: pigtail cord attached to the machine and a 25-foot extension cord which is detachable while the 86T3 has a cord that is not removable.
Cord color of BG10 is yellow while the one on 86T3 is black.

Attachments:
According to users’ reviews, the 86T3 comes with a 9-foot hose and 6-inch stain tool for cleaning upholstery and stairs while the BG10 does not include these tools commonly, you must buy the attachments separately if you buy the BG10. There is a part called 30G3 that includes the hose and the hand tool.

Warranty:
BG10 carries a 1 year limited warranty for commercial use while the 86T3 is backed by a 5 year limited warranty for home use.

As far as I know, there are some differences between Bissell 36Z9 and 17N4:
The first one is the Cleanshot feature, the Bissell 36Z9 equip with the Cleanshot trigger for tough stain cleaning while the 17N4 model does not have this function.

The second one is the tool they come with, 36Z9 come with a Stain Trapper tool while the 17N4 include a Deep Reach Pet tool.

The third one is edge brush. If you look closer, you can find that the 36Z9 has wider edge brush.

There used to be an original Spotbot such as model 78R5. But it is no longer available anymore.
At this moment, there seems only Spotbot Pet versions on the market, such as 33N8, 33N8A, 2114, 2117A.
According to the customer service, there is no mechanical difference between Bissell Spotbot original model 78R5 and the pet models, they are the same thing except for the color and the formula they include. The spotbot 78R5 is white, includes a trial size Little Green Formula. The pet versions come with trial-size Bissell Pet Stain & Odor formula and trial-size Bissell Pet Oxy Boost formula for pet stain removal.

The difference between the Bissell Spotbot Pet models 33N8, 33N8A, 2114, and 2117 is the color and brushes.
Some people mentioned the control panel. Per my research, the 2114 and 2117A are newer models, they have a control panel that is different from the early versions of 33N8 and 33N8A. However, it seems that the new versions of 33N8 and 33N8A now have the same control panel as 2114 and 2117A.

The 33n8 and 33n8a are in silver. They have brushes that have one bristle brush section and one rubber brush section, have the feature of a deep reach technology that delivers cleaning formula deep into carpet fibers to remove pet stains and odors.
The 2114 and 2117A brushes are all bristle brushes.

The 2114 is in purple whereas the 2117A is in blue.
