Some questions and answers:

  • Can you use these Hoover carpet extraction machines on hard floors such as tile floors?
Yes, but you will need the hard floor Squeegee tool to clean non carpet floors. This tool is only included in the MultiFloor models. However, it can also be purchased separately. For cleaning hard floors, you should follow the flooring manufacturer’s cleaning recommendations. And do NOT use the machines on unsealed hardwood floors.
  • Do they have a vacuum only mode?
No, they do not function like a vacuum. Before using these machines, you should use a traditional vacuum cleaner to vacuum thoroughly.
  • Do they have steam mode?
    No.
  • Do they heat the water or need hot water?
They do not have a heater. You can use hot water, but do NOT fill with water above 140°F (60°C). Using hot water has better cleaning performance compared to cold water.
  • Can you use other brand’s solution for use with these machines?
The manual says that Non-Hoover cleaning solutions void the warranty.
  • Can you turn off the Power Scrub brushes?
No, the brushes keep spinning when power is on, unless the handle is in upright position.
