There is no big difference between 3106L, 3106Q, and other 3106 series models, Bissell just add color variety and provides different models to different retailers. The unit itself is the same, the model numbers imply the color and where sold. That’s it.

As far as I know, there are some differences between Bissell 36Z9 and 17N4:
The first one is the Cleanshot feature, the Bissell 36Z9 equip with the Cleanshot trigger for tough stain cleaning while the 17N4 model does not have this function.

The second one is the tool they come with, 36Z9 come with a Stain Trapper tool while the 17N4 include a Deep Reach Pet tool.

The third one is edge brush. If you look closer, you can find that the 36Z9 has wider edge brush.

The DC65 features reconfigured brushbar that can pick up more dirt, it is full size while the DC40 is mid size, therefore it has wider cleaning path, larger bin, longer cord, and a bit heavier than the DC40.

One of the major difference between them is their sizes. Both of these 2 Dyson vacuum cleaners are upright, however, Dyson DC65 is full size while the DC50 is compact. Since DC65 equip with more powerful motor, its noise level is higher.
Because of the bulkier size, the DC65 features larger bin and wider cleaner head, and it has more powerful suction.
The brush bar on Dyson DC65 is reconfigured, it can pull out more dirt and dust of the carpet.
The DC50 is lighter and easy to carry.
The hose on DC50 is also shorter.
