Compare Shark ZU62 vs NV752 what’s the difference?

If you are deciding between Shark Navigator Pet Pro Zero-M Upright Vacuum ZU60/ZU62 and Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away TruePet Vacuum NV752 (or NV750,NV751,NV753,etc.), the comparison info below may help you purchase the right one.

images from Shark official infomercials

In fact, these two Shark vacuum series are quite different. The NV752 is from the Rotator series while the ZU60/ZU62 are from the Navigator series. The main difference between them are as it follows:

Zero-M Technology (Self-Cleaning Brushroll)
The ZU62 is a newer model, equipped with the Zero-M Technology. According to Shark, this new technology helps remove short and long, human and pet hair from the brushroll. How does it work? There is a bristle guard and comb that work together to separate hair from the brushroll and send it straight to the dust cup.
Whereas the NV752 launched before the Shark applied the Zero-M Technology, so it does have this self cleaning brushroll design.
If you want to try the Zero-M nozzle design, then buy the ZU62.

Dust Cup Capacity
The ZU62 has a much larger bin. Its dust cup holds up to 2.8 dry quarts versus 1.5 dry quarts on the NV752. With a bigger dust cup, the frequency of emptying will be lower. This is a good feature when cleaning large house.
If you prefer a big dust chamber, ZU62 fits your needs better.

Versatility:
NV752 is more versatile, it features the Powered Lift-Away which allows you to detach the pod from the vacuum and you still can use the motorized tools.
This is pretty useful when you want to vacuum underneath those low profile furniture. For a normal upright vacuum, such as the ZU60/ZU62, without this feature, such work cannot be done unless you move the furniture.
The lift away feature is also convenient for cleaning high and low areas around your house.

Headlights
The NV752 has LED headlights on the handle and floor nozzle to help reveal hidden debris and clean dark spots. While the ZU62 does not have any headlights.

Brush On/Off Control
When you switch the floor selector to Hard Floor setting, the brush roller of the NV752 will be shut down whereas the ZU62 brushroll keeps spinning.
So, if you want a suction only mode to vacuum hard floors, buy the NV752 Rotator Powered Lift-Away.

Surface Selector:
The NV752 has 3 settings: Thick Carpet/Area Rug, Carpet/Low Pile and Hard Floor.
While the ZU62 has. 2 settings: Carpet and Hard Floor.

Suction Control
The ZU62 has a suction control collar that allows you to release suction when needed.

images from Shark official infomercials

Whereas the NV752 does not have such suction adjuster. It only provides two suction levels. When choosing the Thick Carpet/Area Rug setting, it provides low suction, where setting to Carpet/Low Pile and Hard Floor, it provides high suction.
If you want one with suction adjustor that allows user to reduce suction power to vacuum like area rugs, curtains, etc., just pick the ZU62.

Compare Shark ZS360/ZS362 vs ZS352/ZS351/ZS350/HV345 what’s the difference?

images from Shark official site

These two Shark vacuum series are similar, they have similar features, specifications, pros, cons. The biggest difference is the brushroll design. The Shark Apex DuoClean with Zero-M Stick Vac ZS360/ZS362 feature the DuoClean technology that the Shark Rocket Zero-M Ultralight Corded Stick Vacuum ZS352/ZS351/ZS350/HV345 does not have.
The DuoClean technology has two brush rollers inside the floor nozzle: besides the bristle brushroll, there is an additional soft roller at the fore to tackle stuck-on dust and large particles on both carpets and hard floors.

Since the Apex DuoClean have 2 rollers, you have dual rollers to clean. The good thing is the brushroll garage cover is on the top of nozzle, and you just need to slide 2 release button to open it. The bristle brushroll is not detachable while the soft roller can be removed to clean.
On the other side, the Rocket Zero-M has only the bristle brushroll to clean, but the brush cover is at the bottom of the nozzle, and you have to unscrew 3 screws to open it and clean the brushroll which is also not removable.

Another difference is the motor:
The Apex DuoClean with Zero-M has a 600 watt, 5 amp motor whereas the Rocket Zero-M has a 500 Watt, 4.2 Amp motor

Similar features and facts you may want to know:

They do NOT stand by themselves.
Just like most stick vacuum cleaners on the market, they don’t have the ability to stand by their own. So, when you want to stop to do anything else, such as changing outlets, taking a break, answering a phone call, you have to lay it down. Hate this? Have a look at the Shark Apex Uplight which is a corded stick vacuum that stands on its own

Both Feature Zero-M Technology

Does the brushroll really clean itself?
You will get conflicting answers from users, you can read users reviews at Amazon here.

LED Headlights
They have led lights on both floor nozzle and handheld part. The lights do help vacuum dark spots and reveal hidden debris.

No HEPA Filter
For those who are looking for a slim vacuum with HEPA filtration, these are not your choices. You may want to take a look at the Shark Apex Uplight which has Anti-Allergen Complete Seal system with a HEPA Filter, it would be a better choice for asthma and allergy sufferers.

No Adjustable Suction Control
They do not allow users to adjust the suction power for different needs.

No Brushroll On/Off Control
They have 2 surface settings: Bare Floor/Small Area Rugs setting with the brushrolls spinning slowly and Carpet setting with brushrolls spinning faster.
The brush rollers keep rotating in both of the two modes when using the floor nozzle to vacuum.

2 in 1 design
They both can be used as a stick vacuum as well as a handheld vacuum. The floor nozzle can be attached to the handheld portion without the wand for more versatile cleaning.

Low Profile Nozzle
They can get underneath furniture with an approximate 5-inch clearance and higher.
