  • Price:
This is the first one that you probably need to take into consideration.
On Dupray official site dupray.com, the listed retail price of the HOME is $249.98, NEAT is $319.99, ONE is $699.00, ONE PLUS is $899.00, Tosca is $1,297.00, Hill Injection is $2,497.00.
So, this is a huge difference between them. If you have limited budget, then the HOME and NEAT are more proper choices; if you want better results and better quality, have a look at the Hill Injection, however, it is much more expensive.
  • The second big difference between them is the ability of refilling while in use.
The ONE PLUS and Hill Injection have Continuous Steam Technology, they were designed with a two-tank system which means the water tank is not under pressure, and you can refill it at any time, this greatly reduce downtime. The others do not have this feature, they have cleaning time limit with one fill up; when steam runs out and you would like to continue using the steam cleaner, you have to turn off the machine to let the boiler cool down like 10 to 20 minutes, refill with water, wait for another 10 minutes to allow the machine to generate steam. This process does cost you time. As for the models that have no Continuous Steam Technology, the HOME runs up to 40 minutes per fill up, the NEAT and ONE run up to 50 minutes whereas the Tosca runs up to 90 minutes due to its much larger boiler.
  • Steam Temperature:
Generally speaking, the steam temperature affects the effectiveness and speed to clean, sanitize, degrease or deodorize. The higher temperature gives better results.
    The max steam temperature of the the HOME is 293°F / 145°C, NEAT is 275°F / 135°C, ONE is 303°F / 150°C, ONE PLUS is 320°F / 160°C, Tosca is 316°F / 160°C, Hill Injection is 347°F / 175°C.
  • Hose Design:
The HOME and NEAT have a built-in hose whereas the others have detachable hose for more convenient cleaning up, storage, and steam pressure adjusting.
  • Adjustable Steam:
The NEAT does not have a steam adjustment wherever others allow you to adjust the steam pressure to fit different cleaning needs.
  • Cord Length:
The HOME has a 7’5″ power cord, the Tosca and Hill Injection have a 14’9″ cord, the NEAT, ONE, ONE PLUS have a 16’5″ cable.
  • Self Clean Boiler:
Only the Hill Injection has the an oscillating electromagnetic float prevents scale build-up in the boiler, others do not have this feature.
  • Boiler Material:
Only the NEAT has an aluminum boiler while others have a stainless steel boiler.
  • Body Material:
According to specifications on dupray.com, the Tosca have a enamel-coated steel body, the Hill Injection has a stainless steel body, whereas the body material of other models is plastic.
  • Detergent Injection:
The Hill Injection has a 20-ounce detergent tank, it is the only one that that is able to inject detergent into the steam to help remove grease, dirt and stains from extra filthy surfaces. The others do not have this feature.

What’s the Best Portable Carpet Cleaner for Stairs, Upholstery, Auto Seat Stains Removal?

When trying to remove spots and stains from carpeted staircase, upholstered furniture, car interior, etc. , one of the most suitable machines to use is a carpet cleaner.
You can use a full size carpet extractor with a hose and a hand attachment to tackle those messes, or use a much smaller and lighter portable one to get the job done.

Generally speaking, a big size carpet washing machine, such as the Bissell Big Green BG10, is much more powerful and suitable for whole room carpet cleaning while the portable lightweight machine is a better option for removing small stains and spots.
Tough some big carpet extractors come with attachments, such as a stair tool and a stain scrubber, to tackle different cleaning jobs, you probably would not like to drag a bulky machine which weighs over 40 pounds to clean the few stains on the sofa, let alone carry the big guy up and down stairs to clean the steps and landing.

If you are are interested in buying a portable spot and stain removal shampooer for rugs, rv interior, upholstered surfaces, you can take a look at the Bissell SpotClean Pro 3624, it is one of the best selling and top rated portable carpet spot removers on the market.
